What is porchfest?
A Free-to-All Townwide Music Festival Right Here in Reading
Maybe you’ve sat around a campfire with someone strumming a guitar. Maybe you’ve heard a neighbor practicing on a porch. It could be that you’ve walked down your street and heard a local garage band warming up and you liked what you heard.
Multiply this by 30 to 40 – all over town – and that’s PorchFest. This community-driven event features an all volunteer cast-organizers, talent, and venue hosts.
If you have available talent and/or a venue head on over to our sign-up page.
Building on the great success of 2019 as part of Reading 375, PorchFest is now an annual event.
Mark your calendars for Saturday afternoon, June 22nd and watch for updates on this site.
Committee Members: Ace Foulds, Alan Foulds, Amanda Foulds.
We are also grateful for a grant from Reading Cultural Council.
We respectfully ask all performers to keep in mind that Reading PorchFest is a family-friendly event.
You are a guest of a very generous host/host family. We love and encourage variety and diversity of talent and production.
At the same time we expect all performers and hosts to consider the audience and the neighborhood.
We want to keep PorchFest open, unregulated, and uncensored but enjoyable for all.
We hope you have a great time at Porchfest. By agreeing to perform, host, volunteer and/or attend Porchfest you also agree to participate at your own risk (not that we are anticipating any issues).
You agree to hold performers, hosts, volunteers and/or organizers free of any claim for damages in the event of accident, injury or disappointment.
